What to expect as a GuideU guide
- You own your calendar. Open the hours you want, block the ones you do not. Already listing on other platforms? Connect them and see every reservation in one schedule — no double bookings.
- You set the price. Your experiences, your rates. GuideU keeps a small commission on completed bookings and the rest is yours, with tips from happy guests on top.
- Extra income from chauffeur trips. If you drive, bid on private chauffeur requests from travelers in your area — airport runs, day trips, custom routes — whenever you have a free day.
- Run it all from anywhere. Manage listings, bookings, and messages from your guide dashboard on the web or the GuideU guide app on your phone.
Common questions
Who can become a guide?
Anyone with real local knowledge and something worth sharing — anglers, hikers, photographers, foodies, history buffs, night owls. You do not need to be a professional tour operator; you need to know and love your city.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Creating a profile and listing experiences is free. GuideU takes a small commission on completed bookings, so you only pay when you earn.
How much time does it take?
As much or as little as you want. Some guides host a couple of experiences a month; others make it a full-time living. Your availability is entirely up to you.
How do bookings and payments work?
Travelers pay when they book, so no chasing payments and no no-show surprises. After you complete an experience, your earnings are paid out to you — and guests can add a tip after the experience too.
I already list tours on another platform. Can I still join?
Yes — and you should. Connect your existing booking platforms from the integrations page and all your reservations appear in one unified schedule alongside your GuideU bookings.
Your city is full of people who want to see it your way.
