Sunrise Surf Lesson: From Sand to Standing in One Morning (Beta - Not actual listing)
Difficulty: Moderate. Some activity involved β a basic fitness level helps.
Beta - Not actual listing. Small-group surf coaching on a gentle beginner break β most students stand up on day one, all students leave grinning.
About this experience
I learned to surf on this exact beach at age six, and Iβve taught hundreds of first-timers on it since. The wave here is slow, soft, and forgiving β the aquatic equivalent of a bunny slope β which is why my students usually stand up within the first hour. We start on the sand: pop-up mechanics, wave judgment, and the three rules that keep you safe and smiling. Then two hours in the water with me pushing you into waves, correcting your stance between sets, and celebrating embarrassingly loudly when you ride one all the way in. Includes soft-top board, wetsuit in your size, rash guard, and post-session bananas (surf tradition, donβt ask). Max four students per lesson. Must be comfortable swimming in the ocean. Ages 10+.
