Then you want the real thing: the rooms where Nashville’s session musicians — the people who played on the records — come to jam unannounced after their paying gigs wrap. I’ve spent five years mapping this scene. We’ll catch a western-swing trio in a bar that hasn’t changed since 1962, a songwriter round in a listening room where talking gets you shushed, and end wherever tonight’s whisper network says the late set is happening. Includes cover charges and my running commentary on who’s on stage and why they matter. First round is on me. 21+ only, obviously.
