First Ascent: Beginner Rock Climbing in the Flatirons (Beta - Not actual listing)
Difficulty: Challenging. Physically demanding β good fitness recommended.
Beta - Not actual listing. Your first real climb on real rock β all gear, all instruction, all confidence included. No experience needed, fear optional.
About this experience
There is a moment, about forty feet up, when your hands stop shaking and start gripping β when climbing stops being scary and starts being the best thing youβve ever done. My job is getting you to that moment safely. We start with an hour of ground school: knots, harness checks, how to trust a rope with your life (spoiler: the rope is rated for a small car). Then two guided top-rope climbs on a classic beginner slab with holds like ladder rungs, and a third climb that will make you feel like a superhero. All technical gear provided β harness, helmet, shoes, and me, a certified single-pitch instructor with wilderness first-responder training. Ages 12+. Wear athletic clothes; bring water and a snack.
